Crime & Punishment in Alameda County with Butch Ford (Zoom)

Join us for a special evening as we meet with San Francisco Assistant District Attorney Butch Ford. Ford previously served as Deputy DA in Alameda County, where he prosecuted numerous high-profile cases and observed many changes in the way criminals are prosecuted. Ask your questions & learn how we can make Berkeley a safer community.

Police Accountability Board (PAB)

Police Accountability Board (PAB)

The Police Accountability Board exercises civilian oversight of the Berkeley Police Department & advises the City Council. It scrutinizes police action and investigates misconduct.

I think we need to start making our presence felt at PAB meetings because they are increasingly blocking efforts by the Berkeley Police to make Berkeley safe. For instance, the PAB is objecting to the use of surveillance cameras around Berkeley as a way to deter crime, even though Berkeley PD believes this would provide them with an important new resource.

Join me at the next PAB and let's make ourselves heard
